Give Away: Low Porosity Products

Today is the 1 year anniversary of this blog. Looking back, it’s been an amazing journey. I’ve connected with people from all over the world, received amazing feedback and support.

Some of my new goals for this blog is to give it a face lift, to increase communication and exchange with readers (i.e. more comments and contributions from readers).

To celebrate, I’ll be doing my first giveaway. I’ll give away a couple of my favorite low porosity hair products. To qualify to win, all you need to do is comment on this post. I will randomly select a winner at the end of the month. Please note, you can only comment once to qualify. This giveaway will only take place if this post gets at least 20 comments (from individual readers) by the end of this month #workingtowardsgoals. So pass this post along to friends and have them comment away.

UPDATE: this giveaway is open to readers from around the world.

  1. I hope you succeed in all your goals. It can be super tough at times πŸ™‚ I have mainly hair goals though (heat damage, le sigh! ) Good Luck and CONGRATS on your one year blog anniversary!

  2. So glad to have found a low porosity-related site! I look forward to future posts, and of course would love to win the giveaway.

  4. Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. Thank you for doing this blog. It is very helpful and much needed as there aren’t many our any that I found that deals with natural low porosity hair.

  5. Congrats on your anniversary. I stumbled onto your site because my daughter has low porosity hair and I am always looking for new suggestions. I’d love to be a part of the giveaway too!

  7. Congratulations on your Blogiversary! My blog has also finally reached the one year mark so I know you’re feeling accomplished! Low porosity has been my nemesis. 9. Congrats and thank you for the low porosity hair updates. I get excited when I see them arrive in my email box even though most of the time I’m too busy to comment! Keep them coming!

  10. I am extremely grateful for your blog. There are not many bloggers or youtubers speaking about low porosity hair and which products really work. I’m just learning about porosity and how much of a factor it is in my natural hair journey. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. Also, I have been wanting to try bentonite clay for hair cleansing? Any thoughts? Also, I would live to be added for the drawing please. Also lol, how do you feel about the baggy method for low porosity hair? I’m sorry for all the questions. Oh yea lol, how do you feel about hair steaming? Is it worth it to by a steamer..is it truly beneficial for low porosity hair?

    • I’ve heard wonderful things about bentonite clay as a low porosity cleanser. I personally, haven’t tried it, but will this summer when I go home and get my handson some. I’m not a fan of baggying and do not see the benefits for lo-po hair (that’s just me): see my post: https://lowporosityhaircare.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/lo-pos-bff-healthy-heat/ I think hair steaming is a great method to open up the cuticles. I don’t have one and do fine with heat and a plastic cap. I think you can deep condition without one, but if you have one, use away. Thanks for commenting and stopping by!
